Installation & setup

1. Normal installation via Steam
2. Create a shortcut to Client.exe in the Steam directory (default: C:\Program Files(x86)\steam\steamapps\common\Runes of Magic)
3. To log in to the “normal” account: Start via the shortcut
4. To log in to the Steam account: Start via Steam

Notes:

• It is not possible to log in a normal account with the Steam login or the Steam account with a normal login (if the accounts are not linked).
• In the event of a DC or error when logging in with the Steam account, the client must be restarted
• The Steamlogin connects directly to the server selection

Connect account with Steam

To connect an account to Steam, you must first log in to the account via the website.

You can then select “Link to Steam” [1].

Then you just have to log in with your Steam login data on the Steam site[2]

and this is linked or there is an error because an account is already linked on Steamid[3].

Remove account connection

To disconnect an account from Steam, you must first log into the account via the website.

You can then select “Delete link”.

Account created through Steam

A request must currently (as of 7.9.2018) be made to the support team. The Steam account can no longer be accessed after disconnection.

Update Steamaccount to normal account

Currently not possible (as of 1.9.2018)

• It is impossible to login a normal account with steam or a steamaccount with the normal login (if the accounts aren’t linked).
• If you have a Loginerror or a Disconnect you have to restart the Client if you play with Steam
• Steam connects directly to the server selection

Link an account to steam

To link an account to steam you have to login on the website

Select “Link to Steam” [1].

Enter your Steam credentials on the following page[2]

=>Account will be linked or an errormessage will be visible[3].

Unlink an Account from steam

To unlink an account from steam you have to login on the website

Select “Unlink from Steam” [not sure which text is used for english, if someone could write me the actual text it would be appreciated]

Account created by Steam

You have to write a ticket to the support(as of 7.9.2018). You won’t be able to access the account after the unlinking took place.

Upgrade a steamaccount to a normal account

not possible currently (as of 1.9.2018 )
