– General information
This time it really gets down to business. For me, the Warlock/Champion is one of the DDs that I don’t think is really suitable for beginners. But once you get the hang of it, you’re rewarded with absolutely brute damage. (Especially with the full support)
The class is the best magical DD alongside the Warmage and the Mage/Warrior, and offers some significant advantages over these classes. You are a ranged DD who can do most of his damage on the move. In addition, you have some really strong defensive buffs that can save your butt relatively often.
For the full potential, however, you should also pay attention to the party composition. A witcher/mage is absolutely mandatory, and a witcher/warrior for maximum support is also very welcome. In general: Everything that increases dark damage multiplies your damage.
– Fitting and equipment
This part can be kept quite short:
The class uses normal MDD equipment. So BIS would be Pasper upper body, Tomb City of Mirrors lower body and Mystic MA jewelry, supplemented with the Helveta/Lakishna set of 2.
Furthermore, you should always reach 30% precision for Pasper in order to have no resist on the boss. But that’s already done with a Helveta/Lakishna set, a precision rune and the Dudu-Präzi buff.
However, this should become irrelevant with the new level cap. From then on, you can think about using a 2nd Mystic Altar set instead of the Lakishna/Helveta 2-piece set specifically on the Sorcerer. The Sorcerer simply benefits more from Int than from anything else.
– Setskills
Spiritual power of the ant queen (Kulech)
Traces of emptiness (ice blades)
Shield of the Otherworld ( Grotto of Horror)
Chaos Steersman (Bethomia)
Course of soul torment (crypt of eternity)
Spirit Power of the Ant Queen can be replaced with Dark Aura (50-point setskill bought in Dalanis) if you can’t farm Kulech. It just doesn’t do quite as much in the burst as the 75 setkill because it only gives you one point of initial psi.
You can also swap the shield of the Otherworld with the Soul Destroyer. It’s a matter of taste. More damage or an “Oh fuck” button. As you like
– Rotation
For me, the Witcher has one of the most complex rotations, but at the same time one that you can play really well with your hand. Nevertheless, I’m going to add a kitty rotation at the end, which takes some of the work out of the burst phases. The constant re-buffing etc. is not necessarily what many people consider fun to play.
Burst rotation:
Important: Willpower Blade should already be active from the buff phase and you enter the fight with the full 6 psi. So use Sace’s spur before the buff phase so that everything is off CD and you have at least 40 seconds of runtime with the start of the countdown.
- Weakening Weave Curse (if it is not taken over by the Witcher/Mage or Mage/Hexer or he does not have it at 100)
- Power surge
- Psychic arrows
- Chaos driver
- Psychic arrows 1 or 2x (this depends on whether you have to do the weakening yourself or your witcher/mage does it)
- Confusing puzzle
- Psychic arrows
- Heart collecting blow
- Separated until the psi is empty.
- Anger refinement
- Willpower blade
- Detached 3x
- Unipot
- Detached 3x
- Spiritual power
- Separated
- After that, the blade should be over and you can follow up with weakening and surge.
- After the burst: keep
skills on CD. Psychic arrows as filler between the psi rotation. Make sure that debuff and surge are still on the boss. Also pay attention to your buffs and ultimate cooldowns. Your half burst is ready after one minute. The full burst after 90 seconds. So keep an eye on that. - Make sure that Sace’s incentive never runs out. About 50% of your damage depends on this buff.
- Since you usually run with an active witcher/mage, you can ask them to use Weakening Weave Curse for you. This saves you a cast and 20 focus at the beginning of the Burst Rota, which you can use for another Psychic Arrow instead.
- Under 20% Boss LP you can also invest 2 Psi for Merciless Judgment during Willpower Blade. This is a nice DMG buff especially if you have Universal Potion ready and can then do 5 or 6 times severed with more damage.
- Firstly, Psychic Tap. This is a 60% damage boost for 5 seconds that is triggered by the arrows. Having this before you press puzzles is an immense damage boost. Therefore, the more you can do from the arrows before pressing the riddle in the sorcerer’s silence the better. (with a little attention to focus management.
- Secondly: There is an interaction with the passive skill Favorable Strike. In itself, this should double the damage of Heart Gathering Strike or Confusing Conundrum if the target has Weakening Weave Curse.
However, the Psychic Arrows fly quite slowly and it takes a while for this hit to register on the boss. So if you cast Psychic Arrows and then use Heart Gathering Slash immediately afterwards, the skill that hits first is simply doubled. In this case, Psychic Arrows. End of the story: You have 2x the confusing puzzle in terms of damage.
Of course, this makes the rotation more complex, but it’s extremely satisfying when it’s fully in.
Of course, you can also add the rotation for lazy players here. Usually just as good in terms of damage, but much easier to play. However, the blatant DMG peak of the full burst rotation is missing a bit here: - Weakening Weave Curse (if the Witcher/Mage doesn’t take it over or doesn’t have it at 100)
- Power surge
- Psychic arrows
- Chaos driver
- Psychic arrows 2x
- Separated until the psi is empty.
- Universal potion
- Separated
- Anger refinement
- Willpower blade
- Detached until the psi is empty
- Spiritual power
- Separated
- After that, the blade should be over and you can follow up with weakening and surge.
In case you are wondering why exactly this sequence, especially with the psychic arrows etc.
This is about 2 things:
After that, the process continues in exactly the same way with keeping the skills on CD and your own buff management.
You can vary the rotations as you find it most fluid for you. But these are just the two ways I play them. Some, for example, leave out the casts completely at the beginning and just do separate ones. That’s a matter of taste.
– Kitty rotation for the offburst:
Stupidly, you can use this as soon as you’re done with Riddles and Psychic Arrows + Heart Gathering Slash. During the burst phase at the beginning, however, I would play the class with the hand. Oh well. A matter of taste.
The rotation is created in Kitty version 0.973. If you do not have certain states, it may be due to your version.
I think the rotation is also one of the most extensive in this class. But the rotation has been well tested and actually works as it should. You can, of course, adapt it to your needs. (e.g. with potions etc. But I don’t like that so much)

– States
Bear with me. This will also be a bit longer here:
Rune of thought:

Saces’ Wrath: Important: Pay attention to the apostrophe at the end of Saces’. This condition does not work without it.

Saces’ incentive: The same with the apostrophe should also be noted here.

Detached consciousness:
I have deliberately omitted boss debuffs here. Anyone who wants to include weaknesses here, for example, is welcome to do so. For my part, I prefer to pay attention to it myself. A matter of taste.

Willpower blade:

Wrath Refinement: The 0 in the last field is very important here. If you use the skill and Willpower Blade only has 0.1 seconds remaining, it simply deletes the 6 PSI.

Twisted Charge: If your witcher/mage does it, your char doesn’t. So don’t worry, you’re not wasting focus:

Heart Gathering Slash: Does not get a condition with me. This should simply be kept for focus on CD. The difference in damage whether it has debuff or not is negligible for me. I just want the focus from the skill.
Confusing puzzle:

Surge:
Personally, I prefer to do it by hand. But never mind.

Weakening Weaving Curse:
This is only done if your witcher/mage or mage/hexer does not do it (please ask if they have the skill at 100. The DMG buff is not in the tooltip):

Psychic arrows: No condition. This is your spam skill when nothing else is ready.
A few notes at the end of the Rota:
Don’t forget, you can also rezz as a DD in battle. Be careful not to use the kitty so that your willpower construct is not blocked.
If you need to interrupt a lot, take out Surge from Kitty Rota and do it with your hand. This is not only a dark damage buff for you, but also a very good interrupt skill.
In Trash, I mostly use the Kitty myself. But also use your Ultis quite generously. You can use them to wipe out trash groups very quickly.
In addition, with Beast Roar and Sace’s Embrace you have 2 quite potent Aoes that you should definitely use in trash. Combined with the Ultis, you can quickly turn larger mob groups into confetti.
– Buff rotations
I think this is the most difficult part for most people, apart from the rotation. Above all, it’s very unusual for most people: you have to move while buffing.
First of all: If you have to play music, do it at the very beginning. Personally, I’m not a fan of playing it on the Witcher in the first phase, and prefer to play both during the boss fight. Please communicate this accordingly in your group. By moving at a certain point in the buff rotation, you can no longer play music where you would normally want to.
Before you start the buff rotation, you should check your long-term buffs. Here in particular Saces’ Wrath and Saces’ Spur.
It is particularly important that the buff is running and that you still have approx. 40 seconds remaining at the start of the countdown. This means you don’t have to spend 2 PSI on it during the buff phase. Furthermore, Willpower Blade and Wrath Refinement should have a maximum of 5-10 seconds of cooldown left. This is also used in the buff phase to save time in the burst.
Furthermore: Please make sure that you have a combat start, or re-buff your pet with the fixed mind shield to be on the safe side. (You can also use any IS companion that does not give a buff. The start of combat is more stable)
This is where the real buffing up begins:
- Motis mixed sausage
- Music (If you must, you must play it as early as described above)
- Water of the old spirits (unless you have a spring tide) (for long boss fights, use Clear Thought here or simply omit it if it is already active)
- Arcane potion
- The course of anguish
- Start running left and right with A and D. So that you can stack up the buff from Run of Soul Agony
- Anger refinement
- Willpower blade
- Keep on running
- Runic energy gift
- BK title (ideally Will of the Iron Blood)
- Tarnishing
- The boss rotation continues from here.
Depending on how your support is set up, you can also sprinkle in Consciousness Surge. But ideally you should be traveling with a witcher/mage.
If you don’t do casts like Psychic Arrows or Confusing Puzzle at the beginning, you can also use Extinguishing Potion instead of Arcane Potion for more Crit.
– Bufffood:
In general, normal MDD buff food is used on the class.
- Maids: Matk and ideally Crit
- Wedding food attributes and int/weis/Dmg
- Transformation: Int/Wisdom (e.g. Donichuka) or who has 30% Int (Mighty Compulsive Shadow).
- Heroic potion
- M-Dmg Food
- Clear thought (usually better than water except for pure burst bosses)
- Bufftwinks of all kinds. (Aggro, Matk Dmg. You are very fast on the witcher so you can run out from time to time)
Also always check whether you have activated your own long-term buffs and whether they are still active in both groups, e.g. weaving curse
I would always use the scribe for the title. Running speed is usually not necessary, as you are very fast with Traces of the Void anyway.
Title system is highly recommended. There are dark damage title effects that you should definitely use:

Cenedril: Vestin+Garsit. (On the Witcher, Garsit brings much more Matk than all other Cenedrils)
