Warlock/Magician Guide:
– General information
The warlock/mage is probably the most powerful support class in the whole of Runes of Magic. With its party buffs and boss debuffs, it contributes significantly to damage on bosses without really doing much damage itself. That should never be the goal.
In addition to supporting the damage, the combo is also very good at defending the group. With a battle revive and various shields, a lot can be intercepted.
– Fitting and equipment
A huge advantage of the Sorcerer/Mage, especially for new players or those returning to the game, is the absolute undemanding nature of his equipment. Old healer items, for example, are very suitable. They allow you to quickly reach the HP you need for the endgame content. Only the weapon damage is relevant from time to time, because 2 shields are directly based on it. But even here, old dd weapons are absolutely sufficient.
I would also recommend playing the class as main support with 1h staff and talisman to be able to carry 2 curse runes. This makes firing the support rota a little faster.
Even if it soon becomes irrelevant: You can play the hexer from peak level 15 or 16 in pasper if you have enough % precision. So in extreme cases you can get a good 56% with 2 Helveta/Lakishna sets (Mage and heal) 1h staff and talisman, plus the precision buff from Dudu. Then you won’t miss anything even with a slightly too low peak level.
However, you should also reach 30% precision at peak level 20 in order to have no resist on the boss. But that’s already done with a Helveta/Lakishna set, a precision rune and the Dudu-Präzi buff.
– Setskills
Spiritual power of the ant queen (Kulech)
Traces of emptiness (ice blades)
Shield of the Otherworld ( Grotto of Horror)
Protection from the spirits of the dead (bone spike)
Course of soul torment (crypt of eternity)
Spirit Power of the Ant Queen can be replaced with Dark Aura (50 setkill you buy in Dalanis) if you can’t farm Kulech.
All other set skills are just nice to have and not absolutely necessary to play the class successfully.
– Rotation
This will be the first guide where I won’t put the full rotation in a Combat Engine. Quite simply because it is not easy to reproduce. However, the rotation is very playable by hand and just needs a bit of practice to be done cleanly.
Furthermore, the transition between buff and support rotation is quite fluid. I break it down anyway, but where the buff rotation ends, the support rotation is already underway.
In addition, I will divide the rotation into 2 sections.
Boss support and PSI rotation.
Boss Support:
Twisted load
Saces cracking spell (if PSI is present in the construct)
3x torment of the soul or deprivation of perception
Heart collecting blow
Silently coordinated with the tank
Once that’s done, it’s just a matter of keeping the buffs and debuffs going throughout. So twisted charge and soulburn on 4 stacks.
Soul affliction or perceptual deprivation depends on how much castspeed you have. With enough castspeed, soul torment is slightly faster
For the very experienced witcher in terms of buff and CD management, you can also support the 2nd group. With the macro you can move to a place in the other group and do the twisted charge there as well. Important: The priority for focus and CD management should always be on the DD group. So only use it when everything is on the boss, twisted in the DD group runs longer than the CD of the skill and you have enough focus or Heart Gathering Slash goes off cooldown.
/script t_bp = UnitRaidIndex(“player”);
/script MoveRaidMember (t_bp, 12);
/wait 0.5
/cast Twisted load
/wait 0.5
/script MoveRaidMember (t_bp, 6);
PSI rotation:
Flame heart attack
Confusing puzzle
Psychic arrows 1x.
Activate willpower construct
Then you can either revive someone for 6 psi
Or you can cast the afterlife whisper and use Sace’s crack spell
For more support you can use the setskill here to get 2 PSI and then another 3 PSI
Psi-Rota for the lazy:

Status of all other skills:

This kitty stacks you all 6 PSI and activates the construct. Which support skills you use afterwards is up to you.
Useful are Sace’s Crack Spell and Afterlife Whisper for DMG support, or Thought Barrier for a group shield if you get a lot of dmg in a boss event. But then it’s a matter of experience what you use where.
– Buff rotations
The class doesn’t really have many Ultis. But there are still a few that you should throw:
Before the countdown:
Buff your own pet with a Fixed Mind Shield to force a battle to start
PSI fully stacked with the setskill or a universal potion (you just have to tell your tank when you are ready)
Buffen in the CD:
Clear thought
Thought overload
Arcane potion
And this is where the group support starts:
Activate construct
Beyond whispers Casting
throw BK titles. (mostly small or large FÜ)
Throwing a wave of consciousness
From here we continue with the “Boss Support” rotation
– Bufffood:
Standard buffs are almost always sufficient.
Maid: Matk or LP. But it’s not that important
Wedding food attributes and int/weis/Dmg
Transformation: quite indifferent
Heroic potion
M-Dmg Food
Clear thought
Also always check whether you have activated your own long-term buffs and whether they are still active in both groups, e.g. weaving curse
I would always use running speed as the title, i.e. On the run or something similar
Title system is not really a necessity
Cenedril you can use normal MDD Cenedrils or if you don’t have enough stamina or Def/Parry
