{"id":4310,"date":"2024-08-19T10:35:42","date_gmt":"2024-08-19T10:35:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.runesofmagic-infos.com\/knight\/"},"modified":"2024-10-16T17:40:41","modified_gmt":"2024-10-16T17:40:41","slug":"knight","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.runesofmagic-infos.com\/en\/knight\/","title":{"rendered":"Knight"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Knight Guide<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Preclaimer: This guide refers to the Knight as a tank (Rima as MDD is not covered here).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Equip:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Currently, you are best equipped with a full set of plates from the highest HM inis.\nSo Pantheon HM + Tomb City of Mirrors HM.<br>In addition, it is best to build 5 pieces of the new jewelry from the Mystic Altar HM.\nParry + Crit is the best combination of non-stats that jewelry can have for a tank.\nFor example, you can build a purple 3-piece set and an orange 2-piece set if you don&#8217;t want to go for the brown 3-piece set either way.   &nbsp;<br><strong>Important: The set of 2 must have a different rarity level than the set of 3.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is recommended to build the shield as high as possible (plus &amp; grade), as your strongest aggro skills (Shield of Truth, Whirling Shield) scale with the shield def.\nMore on this later. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The main hand weapon is accordingly only graded and not permitted.\nA high plus level is also better here. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Statutory:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There are various different opinions here.\nWith the current content (where the bosses have a very high Pdef and as a knight you can&#8217;t get anywhere near good Patk values without 6\/0 Str\/Patk Gear) almost all knight tanks use the following stats: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Off\/Pdef<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Off\/LP<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Whether 4\/2, 3\/3, 5\/1, etc&#8230;is a matter of taste or availability.<br>The 3 tank stats (inflexibility) with Off\/Deff\/LP are currently the best you can use as a tank.\nHowever, the availability here is very poor and the stats should not be considered in EQ planning. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Note: I do not recommend using Strength or Patk with the current content (Tombs\/MA) under any circumstances.\nSome knights also have a so-called &#8220;Antank-EQ&#8221; which usually consists of a chainset with Str\/Patk or Str\/Aus, Off\/Patk &#8211; don&#8217;t get confused here.\nGraves and MA can be reasonably tanky against any DD even without this EQ (assuming you use reconciliation runes and rest powder or the RiPri Aggroreduce buff).  <br><br>The same applies to runes &#8211; anything that gives you Off\/Def\/LP is currently recommended.\nThe best combination for LP\/Def at the moment is Tyrant, Wall, Enchantment and Malevolence.\nUndaunted brings more def, but is a rune without stamina.\nFullbuffed, it naturally loses a lot of stats compared to the other runes.   <br>&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Setskills:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Guard of Heroic Spirits (Souls)<br>World Domination (Bone Point)<br>Tsunami (Grotto)<br>Battle Roar of the Lion King (Crypt)<br>Traces of the Cross Sword (Ice Blades) (The skill takes some getting used to in terms of AOE behavior as soon as the mobs are further away from you than Range 50.\nTry out a bit how and when to use it best. <br><br>Instead of Traces of the Cross Sword, you can also take the set kill from Rites.\nWould be a stronger dmg skill at the cost of an AOE.\n(Only makes sense in DD gear for Ini&#8217;s pantheon downwards)  &nbsp;<br>If you don&#8217;t have Tsunami or Battle Roar, you can replace them with Bow Slash and Lanaik&#8217;s Roar.\n(65 and 67 setskill) <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Knight\/Warrior:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The knight\/warrior is primarily characterized by the fact that in addition to good tank (def) characteristics, you also bring good support characteristics to the ini.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The support includes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Commanding Deterrence &#8211; All damage the target takes is increased by 15% for 10s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Divine Retribution (Passive) &#8211; Increases the damage dealt by Punishment by 26%.\nWhen Punishment hits a target, Light damage to the target is increased by 26%. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Slash (Warrior Skill) &#8211; Debuff option to support warriors (DDs) in the party.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Tank rotation:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Onslaught (already sets 2 seals)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Threatening attitude<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Whirling shield<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Holy seal<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Punishment<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">(from here silence is usually counted) (3 2 1 deterrent or similar)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Slash (only if other warriors with a 2h weapon are part of the group -&gt; if you are still completely inexperienced, it is best to leave it out and &#8220;practice&#8221; the rota like this first)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tactical Smash (BK title if not taken by e.g. Healer) For aggro problems either replace with one of the 2 fire drills if you don&#8217;t already get them from the group, or in extreme cases with Ironblood.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Commanding deterrence<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Shield of truth (into the silence)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Whirling shield<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After refueling, simply keep the following skills on cooldown:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Explosion of holy power<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Whirling shield<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Threatening attitude<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Holy seal<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Punishment<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Holy blow<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Note: If there is no Dudu or Kundi\/Scoundrel in the party to debuff the boss, the skill &#8220;Disarm&#8221; should also be used to maintain 4 debuff stacks on the boss.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you can\/want to use &#8220;Shield Strike of Truth&#8221; again, make sure that you are currently under the buff of &#8220;Explosion of Holy Power&#8221;.\nOtherwise, Shield Slam has no aggro multi. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As soon as the &#8220;Commanding Deterrence&#8221; is ready again and the boss phase allows it &#8211; warn&gt; group in advance (5s lead time min &#8211; the Kundis will thank you for not just counting randomly) and re-count silence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Kitty-rotation:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Even though the rotation itself is very playable by hand, many people (myself included) still prefer a combat engine for refueling. So here are my kitty settings.<br>Important: This is just the basic rotation. AoE&#8217;s in trash, defskills, disarmament if there is no dudu, etc&#8230; are always to be done with the hand in addition. This is mostly situational and should therefore not be integrated into a CE.
